Tommy,
I read your book from cover to cover while Deborah drove
us back to
Atlanta. (Ha!) I want to compliment you on a very fine
job of
relating your story. I am sure that it will be a
blessing for all
who read it. Once again it brings back many vivid
memories of our
younger days, the Teams, and our discovery of Jesus. I
wish all of
the guys you hung out with, and mention in the book
could read it as
well, like Forrest, Tom Cleary, Sparks, Robbie, etc.

I just talked to my
sister who lives in TX. She said, "That was such a good
book. I told my husband that he has to read it." (And
he is doing so.) She was amazed that she would like that
kind of a book (a man's book), but she loved it. Said
she really like the way the flashbacks. Said it kept her
from being "wet" all the time. Got her out of the water
occasionally. (-:

Dear
Brother Bracken,
Christian greetings from the warm and humid Southland!
My
son and wife are really enjoying your book. I hope to
begin reading it soon, however, I feel like I’ve already
begun because they are constantly sharing things that
they just read.
Your
brother, Don Tipton

It is
Thursday AM, October 18th, and I finished reading your
book this morning during my devotion time! I have been
reading it after I went to bed the last few evenings and
really enjoyed it! I can identify with many of the
things that you experienced growing up and the time you
were in the Navy. Fortunately, I missed Viet Nam, not
because I wanted to, but I suppose because God didn't
want me to!
What
is unique about your book is that anyone can read it and
not really suspect the real drastic turn that your
conversion brings! What it took to reach out to many
men that possibly would not be reached just with a
normal effort on our part!
I
became so stirred with your last chapter and Epilogue
that I just had to have a good time with the Lord and
share it with my wife that was fixing breakfast and
Shane who had just walked in. I am anxious for him to
read the book, because I feel it will give him some
added determination to find the Will of God for his
life.
Again, Thank You! Ed Tilley

Dear Bro.
Bracken:
Received your book and want to congratulate you for a
job "WELL DONE." It was very interesting and well edited
and composed making it extremely readable and
interesting. It was especially a home run with me as I
was working in the campus ministry in Columbia, Mo.
during that time and was working with students in the
drug culture...
Your
description on SEAL training was also very interesting -
and I thought my Airborne Parachute training was tough
during WW II. My congratulations on a job well done !!!!
I will recommend this book to many people who need to
read about what you went through to find Jesus. God
bless!!!!!

Dear
Bro. Bracken,
We
purchased your book last Sunday and I claimed it first.
I’ve been a “reader” since I was a little girl and read
A LOT of books. I just finished your book and I’m
struggling to find words to express to you how it made
me feel. I cried for the little boy; felt pride in the
soldier doing a difficult job; and rejoiced when you
finally found The Answer. Thank you for being so honest
in writing your story. I’m sure it was not an easy task.
After
our family reads it, I plan to pass it on with the
prayer that it will touch the lives of the readers.
We
love you and your family and you’re in our prayers
often. May God richly bless you.
